Submitting Outdoor Articles

    TexasOutdoorsman.com offers valuable information for thousands of hunters, fishermen, men and women who enjoy spending time outdoors in Texas. Our goal of being the best resource for this information is achieved, in part, by the informative Outdoor Articles submitted by  our staff of Field Editors and Contributing Editors. We are always thankful to receive quality articles that will give our readers some insight on a variety of topics. Your How-to, technical or hunting/fishing article will be given an honest evaluation and edited if needed. 

    If you would like to submit an article for our consideration, please follow the suggested writing guidelines below:

  • Your article should have relevant content that is original, factual and unpublished by ANY other media and/or is not contractually forbidden for republication.
  • You may email your article in to us or submit using the form provided below.
  • Your article should have a title and a subtitle. (Example: "Rubs and Scrapes: Unlock the Secret to Big Bucks")
  • You should include at least four (4) high quality pictures relating to your article.
  • Emailed photos or illustrations submitted should be in either a JPEG or GIF format. No other formats will be accepted. Please edit picture size to 300k (300,000 bytes) or smaller. 
  • A short description should be included with EACH photo.
  • Please keep the length of your article between 500 and 1500 words. How-to pieces can be shorter.

   You may submit your article in Microsoft Word format via email, single spaced, without images attached/formatted into the document. Please DO NOT format the text in any way. All editing/formatting for paragraphs and margins will be done by our staff. You may then send us an email with your images attached.

    If you have any questions about the submission process, please contact us. All submissions will receive our immediate attention. If we decide to use you article you will be contacted by the Editor. At this time we are not offering payment for any article submissions. Thank you for your interest in submitting an article for our review.
